Harry Potter Costume
By far the most popular costume throughout the country on Halloween is the Harry Potter costume. Who would have guessed ten years ago that a movie about magic, mystery and romance would take the world by such a ferocious storm? Wherever you go on Halloween you will see people dressed in costumes as characters from these movies. Could the world’s fascination with Harry Potter have something to do with the mythical world most of us wish we lived in, rather than the world we actually live in? What if people really had a desire to change the state of the world with the wave of a magic wand? Do you think the world would be a better place? Chances are it wouldn’t. If everyone had the ability to change the world in ways that work best for them, they would. By nature, people are selfish. They are going to take for themselves and leave nothing for anyone else. If that is the correct example of human nature then it wouldn’t matter if they had magical powers or not. The state of the world and the hatred we live with wouldn’t change at all. The only way the world would change for the better is if people would first think about the person next to them before thinking about themselves.

Question: I have very few materials and less time. How can i make some sort of a harry potter related costume for the midnight premier tonight?Answer: Hogwarts student--wear a gray/black sweater or a white blouse, a tie in one of the house colors, and black pants. Paint a drumstick or a pencil to use as a wand...and a graduation robe or something works very well as a Hogwarts robe too! Golden Snitch--wear all yellow/gold, running shoes, and a pair of wings (like from another costume) or a cape Whomping Willow--wear all brown, glue twigs to yourself, and maybe a blue car, hahaha House elf--dress in raggedy clothing, or maybe take an old bedsheet and make it look dirty/torn. Pointy ears too if you can find them. Dragon costume--not sure how you would do it, but if you have an idea, this fits especially well with the dragon at Gringotts in this movie! Death eater--wear a black hooded sweatshirt (or a robe if you can find one) and black pants, draw yourself a little Death Eater mask and put that on. I <3 Voldemort button optional... Harry Potter--very easy, just draw a scar on your forehead and wear glasses with tape on them. If you have seen A Very Potter Musical on Youtube, those characters have some funny costumes that would be fairly easy to replicate as well (homemade Dark Mark? Instant classic!) Hope this sort of helped!
