If it were just a Gothic costume your daughter wanted to wear once a year on Halloween things wouldn’t be so bad. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. Your daughter has become a gothic monster every day of the year and you are really worried about her future. She is very smart, probably too smart for her own good. Lately, she has been acting very strange, even for her. She painted her nails black, wears black lipstick and black eye shadow. Most recently she even colored her hair black. It used to be so beautiful when she was younger, long straight blond hair. Now it is this ugly unkempt mop on her head. She doesn’t smile and she doesn’t socialize. She is depressed and you don’t know how to help her because she won’t open up even a crack to explain what is wrong. You are really worried that she is going to try and hurt herself. When she does open her mouth it is only to talk about death, pain and suffering. It is really quite terrifying. Speaking to doctors in the area has done nothing for you because they all say that in order to offer her help she needs to first want to help herself. That hasn’t happened yet, but you are not losing hope that it will soon.

Answer: Baggy black pants, and a black shirt with a skull on it. Black eye liner and grey eye shadow. Black nail polish. Black lip stick.
